One of the loveliest pieces of feminine jewelry is a costume pearl necklace. We all may aspire to own a genuine strand of pearls, but why wait when you can find an extremely fashion-forward, affordable pearl costume necklace. This allows you to try out not only the classic, white pearled beauty, but to experiment with different pearl colors and pearl sizes. Then, when you've saved up your money, and can buy your own genuine pearl necklace (that is, if you still want to). You'll feel confident that you've made the right choice.

Pearl necklaces can be really expensive. It depends on a variety of factors, especially where the pearls originate, their shape, and how large they are. As more and more manufacturers enter the business, competition does to some degree drive prices down. But the rarer the pearls, the higher the cost to buy them.
I don't know about you, but I'd rather have a large collection of costume jewelry pearl necklaces rather than one genuine one. Even if that one real one is killer. I like variety when it comes to my pearls. That includes styles of different lengths and colors. With costume pearls, I can expand my jewelry wardrobe without breaking the bank.
My pearl tastes are quite diverse, and what I like one year may not carry over to the next. One time, I just had to have a pearl choker necklace. I mean, HAD TO. So I went out and bought a sweet, petite version that I loved at the time. As I wore it over time, though, I realized that a choker length necklace just wasn't my cup of tea. It felt restrictive. It turned out to be a costly mistake, because I had bought a genuine necklace rather than a costume pearl choker necklace. To this day, it hangs in my jewelry box. I can't bear to give my pearls up, but I also have no desire to wear them.
Color is also a huge trend when it comes to pearls. You might like lime green this season because it's the IN shade. However, next year, when the favorite color changes like the fall leaves, you might wish you hadn't spent so much money on one. A costume jewellery pearl necklace lets you experiment with color and current fashion trends. When it goes out next year but comes back the next, you'll have a versatile fashion jewelry assortment to play with.
I'm a huge fan of costume pearls. They allow me to change up my look constantly without dropping a lot of money to do so. You'll find that many imitation pearls on the market place are drop dead gorgeous. Just looking at them with the naked eye leads one to believe that they're authentic. Versatility and affordability are key words in my vocabulary, especially by a confessed jewelry-aholic!
