Summertime is right around the corner. Believe me, I'm keeping track. It's been a long winter, especially for someone like me who just isn't a snow bunny. I don't ski. I don't snowmobile. I don't ice skate, and I live in New Hampshire. Go figure!

If you hadn't yet heard, green is the "it" color of the season. Fashion, home decor, accessories and jewelry are bursting forth in vibrant shades of color. Purses, blouses, and bracelets in hues ranging from olive to lime to emerald are showing up in practically every store window front. Green, the color of nature and freshness and vibrancy, is THE color that every woman must have in her spring and summer wardrobe.

I will soon be celebrating my 15th wedding anniversary, and I can't tell you how excited I am! Not only have my husband and I been married all of those years, but we've been together a total of almost 21 years! That's a really long time to spend with someone; in my case, nearly half of my life!

May is gold month. What does that mean, really? I've heard the reference for several years now. I've seen the ads and I've heard the catch phrase the whole month long. May, it seems, has been designated as a nationwide retail promotional time to push the sales of gold jewelry to you and me, the consumer.

Recently I went on a family trip to Puerto Rico. I'd heard of the gemstone larimar before, but had never seen it in person. While there, in that gorgeous tropical paradise, I had the opportunity to see quite a bit of larimar. It comes in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. Unless you've been to the Caribbean, you've probably never seen it yourself, nonetheless even heard of it.

It's that time of year again, where many of us wrack our brains and stress out about what we're going to get for our mothers to prove our undying love and gratitude.

You can count on drop gold earrings always being in style. They aren't trendy pieces or throw away jewelry which change with the times. Different gold earrings come and go, just like clothing fashion trends. Drop earrings, however, are the perfect alternative to a gold stud earring. You have more of a presence on the earlobe than a regular stud, and you also have a bit of movement.

Many women own at least one pair of hoop earrings. Usually they start out with a pair of silver hoops. Sterling silver is inexpensive and you can easily find many different styles of silver hoops in any jewelry store or online.

Many of us start off with a pair of gold stud earrings when we first get our ears pierced. It's a great metal to pierce with, as many people aren't allergic to yellow gold or the alloys in it. White gold stud earrings are a little more precarious, as the nickel alloy which is added to the gold can cause an allergic reaction to those with a nickel sensitivity.

Gold earrings come in a bouquet of different colors. Yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold are just a few. Many women don't like the color yellow and  choose not to wear the gold metals. White gold earrings, then, are the perfect alternative. You have many choices available to you in white gold. Two popular choices are white gold stud earrings and white gold hoop earrings.
